The Bread Project offers cooking and commercial baking programs for low-income people who are entering the food industry.
The Food Service program teaches barista, general culinary and customer service skills needed for food retail, (i.e. restaurants, cafes). The Bakery Production program trains students in baking basics and how to manufacture food. The Food Service program is 9 weeks and the Bakery Production program lasts 12 weeks. Both programs offer job preparation training. Also, graduates receive job search support for up to a year following graduation.
